Total Time 15 minutes mins
- 1/4 cup Organic, Gluten Free, Sprouted Oats
- 1/2 cup Filtered Water
- 1 scoop Protein Powder or Collagen I add both!
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 Organic Gala Apple
- 2 tsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Ceylon Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1/2 Ripe Banana
- Unlimited Toppings! See Notes for Topping Ideas!
- Splash Dairy Free Milk I use unsweetened coconut milk
Add the oats and filtered water to a small pot and cook on medium heat. Reduce heat if it begins to boil. You want the pot of oats to be just below a simmer. You have to stir often to ensure they do not stick to the bottom of the pot. The oats are done when there is no water left in the pot.
Add chia seeds, collagen and/or protein powder to the pot of oats.
Warm a cast iron pan with coconut oil. Dice the apple and add to a bowl with all of the spices. Toss the apples in the spices until fully coated. Once coated, add to the cast iron pan and allow to cook for 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Cook for less time to make the apples crispier or cook for longer to make the apples softer.
Mash a half banana in a bowl and add cooked oats and sauteed spiced apples to the bowl.
Add your favorite toppings and a splash of your dairy free milk.
Mix together and enjoy!
